Nigel Paints

I have been following Nigel on Instagram for a while and have been completely in awe of his technique and process in colour mixing and colour studies of landscapes in his sketchbook. I started a sketchbook habit which quickly became colour studies after watching him do a few demos. I am so glad I took this course as it really goes deep into organising your palette when doing these studies, to avoid getting lost and overwhelmed (which I found myself becoming before taking his course). He also shows how to really simplify a complicated photo reference and create different moods using warm and cool shades. The colour theory resources alone are worth it! Thank you Nigel! I can't wait to get your next course on in depth colour moods in paintings!

This course was fun and worth the purchase. I loved learning and creating the small pallet color wheels. Nigel simplified and made it easy to understand values and hues. The exercise in this course were fun and really helped me to understand values, light and shadow and have a better understanding of how colors and values change the mood of your painting. I highly recommend this course and I am excited for future courses.
